【摘要】:Thechangeinresistancewithtemperatureforheatingelementmaterialsisamajordesignfactorandmayinfluencematerialselection.Themeasurementofthischangeisessentialtoensurethatheatingelementsperformasdesigned.Thistestmethodwasdesignedtominimizetheeffectdifferentmanufacturingprocesseshaveonresistancechange,therebyyieldingresultsthatarereproducible.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthechangeofresistancewithtemperatureofmetallicmaterialsforelectricalheating,andisapplicableovertherangeofservicetemperatures.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.ItistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtobecomefamiliarwithallhazardsincludingthoseidentifiedintheappropriateMaterialSafetyDataSheet(MSDS)forthisproduct/materialasprovidedbythemanufacturer,toestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpractices,anddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Thesetestmethodsareusefulforcharacterizationofraw,orcompounded,unvulcanizedrubberintermsofviscosity,orresistancetoflow.Thedataproducedbythesetestmethodshavebeenfoundusefulforbothqualitycontroltestsandcompounddevelopment.However,directcorrelationwithfactoryconditionsisnotimplied.Flowperformancedatapermitsqualitycontrolofincomingrawrubbersbecausetheflowparametersaresensitivetomolecularweightandtomolecularweightdistribution.Therefore,thesetestmethodsmaydistinguishdifferencesbetweenlots.Theshearviscosityorflowviscosityofcompoundedrubberbatchesintheraw(unvulcanized)statewillnotonlybesensitivetotherawpolymermolecularproperties,butwillalsobeaffectedbytypeandamountoffiller,plasticizerorsoftenerlevels,amountandtypeofcopolymerblend,andothercompoundingmaterials.Thesetestmethodscanserveasaqualitycontroltoolforeitherincomingcustommixedcompoundsorforin-housequalityassurancechecksonproductionmixing.Thesetestmethodsareusefulforresearchanddevelopmentofnewproductsbymeasuringtherheologicaleffectonarubbercompoundofnewpolymers,resins,softeners,etc.1.1Thesetestmethodsdescribehowcapillaryrheometrymaybeusedtomeasuretherheologicalcharacteristicsofrubber(raworcompounded).Twomethodsareaddressed:MethodAx2014;usingapistontypecapillaryrheometer,andMethodBx2014;usingascrewextrusiontypecapillaryrheometer.Thetwomethodshaveimportantdifferences,asoutlinedin7-10and11-14,respectively.1.2Thesetestmethodscovertheuseofacapillaryrheometerforthemeasurementoftheflowpropertiesofthermoplasticelastomers,unvulcanizedrubber,andrubbercompounds.Thesematerialpropertiesarerelatedtofactoryprocessing.1.3Sincepistontypecapillaryrheometersimpartonlyasmallamountofshearingenergytothesample,thesemeasurementsdirectlyrelatetothestateofthecompoundatthetimeofsampling.Pistontypecapillaryrheometermeasurementswillusuallydifferfrommeasurementswithascrewextrusiontyperheometer,whichimpartsshearingenergyjustbeforetherheologicalmeasurement.1.4CapillaryrheometermeasurementsforplasticsaredescribedinTestMethodD3835.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
