【摘要】:Thistestmethoddescribesaprocedureforacousticemission(AE)testingofaerialpersonneldevices(APDs)withsupplementalloadhandlingattachments.EquipmentCovered-Thistestmethodcoversthefollowingtypesofvehicle-mountedaerialpersonneldeviceswithsupplementalloadhandlingattachments:Extensible-boomAPDs,Articulating-boomAPDs.AnyEquipmentNotCovered-Thistestmethoddoesnotcoveranyofthefollowingequipment:Insulatedaerialpersonneldeviceswithoutsupplementalloadhandlingattachments,Digger-derrickswithplatform,Craneswithplatform,andAerialdeviceswithload-liftingcapabilitieslocatedanywhereotherthanadjacenttotheplatform.Note1-Thistestmethodisnotintendedtobeastand-aloneNDTmethodfortheverificationofthestructuralintegrityofanaerialdevice.OtherNDTmethodsshouldbeusedtosupplementtheresults.TheAEtestmethodisusedtodetectandarea-locateemissionsources.Verificationofemissionsourcesmayrequiretheuseofothernondestructivetest(NDT)methods,suchasradiography,ultrasonics,magneticparticle,liquidpenetrant,andvisualinspection.(Warning-Thistestmethodrequiresthatexternalloadsbeappliedtothesuperstructureofthevehicleundertest.Duringthetest,cautionmustbetakentosafeguardpersonnelandequipmentagainstunexpectedfailureorinstabilityofthevehicleorcomponents.)Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
