【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationestablishesrequirementsforvinylsidingwithintegralfoamplasticbacking,wherethesidingismanufacturedfromrigidPVCcompound.Performancerequirementsandtestmethodsaddressedbythisstandardincludematerialspropertiesanddimensions,warp,shrinkage,impactstrength,expansion,appearance,andwindloadresistance.Methodsofindicatingcompliancewiththisspecificationarealsoprovided.Note18212;Backedvinylsidingiscomposedoftwomajorcomponents:thesidingandthebacking.ItisintendedthatthesidingportioncomplywithSpecificationD3679.ApplicableportionsofSpecificationD3679areincludedinthisspecification.Additionalrequirementsthatpertainonlytothebackingasaseparatematerial,ortothecombinationofsidingandbackingasawhole,arealsoincluded.1.2Backedvinylsidingshallbetestedwiththebackingmaterialinplaceorremoved,asspecifiedintheapplicablerequirementortestmethod.1.3TheuseofPVCrecycledplasticinthisproductshallbeinaccordancewiththerequirementsinSection4.1.4RigidPVCsoffitiscoveredinSpecificationD4477.1.5SidingproducedtothisspecificationshallbeinstalledinaccordancewithPracticeD4756.Referenceshallalsobemadetothemanufacturer''sinstallationinstructionsforthespecificproducttobeinstalled.Note28212;Informationwithregardtosidingmaintenanceshallbeobtainedfromthemanufacturer.1.6Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note38212;ThereisnoknownISOequivalenttothisstandard.
