【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusefulinqualityandcostcontrolduringthemanufactureofpileyarnfloorcovering.Bothappearanceandperformancecanbeaffectedbychangesinthetuftheight.5.1.1Incaseofadisputearisingfromdifferencesinreportedtestresultswhenusingthistestmethodforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipments,thepurchaserandthesuppliershouldconductcomparativeteststodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweentheirlaboratories.Competentstatisticalassistanceisrecommendedfortheinvestigationofbias.Asaminimum,thetwopartiesshouldtakeagroupoftestspecimensthatareashomogeneousaspossibleandarefromalotofmaterialofthetypeinquestion.Thetestspecimensshouldthenberandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.TheaverageresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingStudentrsquo;t-testforunpaireddataandanacceptableprobabilitylevelchosenbythetwopartiesbeforetestingisbegun.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrectedorthepurchaserandthesuppliermustagreetointerpretfuturetestresultsinviewoftheknownbias.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftuftheightusingagroovedspecimenholder.Itappliestocut-pileandloop-pilefloorcoveringafteradhesivebackinghasbeenappliedtobondthepileyarntothebackingfabric.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandardforallmeasurements.Theinch-poundvaluesareprovidedforinformationpurposesonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
